Practice Policies & Appointment Information

At Nurture & Insight Psychiatry, we aim to create a respectful, supportive, and transparent partnership in your care. Please review the following policies to ensure the best experience possible.

By scheduling an appointment, you agree to be financially responsible for services rendered, regardless of insurance coverage. We encourage all clients to verify their behavioral health benefits with their insurance provider in advance.

Receipts for services can be requested at any time to assist with out-of-network reimbursement or personal record keeping.

Financial Responsibility

Physical Assessments

If you are prescribed a controlled substance, a brief in-person physical assessment is required at least every three months for ongoing care and safety monitoring.

Copays are due at the time of service. For your convenience, the copay associated with your visit will be charged to the credit card on file on the morning of your scheduled appointment.

If there is no valid card on file, you will be contacted prior to your appointment to obtain payment. If we are unable to reach you and the copay is not received before your scheduled appointment time, your appointment may be rescheduled.

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure payment information is current to avoid disruption in care.

Payment & Copays

Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

  • First late cancellation or no-show: $100 fee

  • Second late cancellation or no-show: Full session fee

  • Third late cancellation or no-show: May result in discharge from services

Late cancellation and no-show fees are not covered by insurance and will be charged to the card on file.

These policies are in place to respect the time reserved for you and to ensure availability for other clients seeking care.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Appointment Types & Fees

All services are self-pay unless otherwise arranged and must be paid in full at the time of your appointment.

  • Initial Diagnostic Evaluation (60 minutes)
    A comprehensive psychiatric assessment and care planning session.
    $375

  • Follow-up: Medication Management, & Refill Session (15 minutes)
    Brief check-in and prescription management.
    $150

  • Follow-up: Medication & Supportive Psychotherapy (30 minutes)
    Ongoing medication management with space for therapeutic discussion.
    $300

Cash Payment Discount

Clients who pay by cash will receive a 20% discount on their total session fee. This discount applies at the time of payment and cannot be combined with insurance billing or other discounts.

Administrative & Additional Services

  • Paperwork Completion (e.g., FMLA, disability forms):
    $75 per five pages

  • In-Person Physical Assessments:
    $30 per session

  • Legal Reports or Court Testimony:
    $500 per hour

Please note: Some services may not be reimbursed by insurance providers. Clients are responsible for all administrative fees.

All pre-appointment paperwork must be completed 24 hours prior to the day of your appointment before seeing your provider. Failure to complete paperwork will result in cancellation at the patient’s expense.
